About Sonaselection India
Sonaselection India Limited is a textile manufacturing and processing company based in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, primarily engaged in converting grey fabrics into finished fabrics. Its product portfolio includes cotton, cotton-lycra and cotton/polyester blended fabrics, catering to textile traders and garment brands. The company operates an integrated processing facility covering activities such as singeing, bleaching, dyeing, peaching and finishing, while also undertaking job-work processing. Financial Overview
Strengths
4- 1
Integrated textile processing. The company has capabilities across multiple stages including dyeing, bleaching, finishing and other fabric-processing activities, allowing greater control over product quality and value addition.
- 2
Capacity expansion. Its new processing plant increased processing capacity substantially, with the company reporting capacity of 68.70 lakh metres per month in FY2025 compared with 45 lakh metres previously.
- 3
Shift toward own-fabric sales. Moving from primarily job-work processing to manufacturing and directly selling its own finished fabrics can provide greater control over pricing, product mix and margins.
- 4
Experienced promoter group. The business is managed by the Nuwal family, which has experience in textile manufacturing and related businesses in the Bhilwara textile cluster.
Risks
4- 1
Textile industry cyclicality. Demand and profitability can be affected by changes in apparel demand, fashion trends, export conditions and broader economic cycles.
- 2
Raw-material and input-cost risk. Fluctuations in cotton, polyester, dyes, chemicals and energy costs can put pressure on manufacturing margins.
- 3
Working-capital requirement. Fabric manufacturing requires significant inventory and receivables, and a prolonged working-capital cycle could put pressure on liquidity. CRISIL specifically identifies a sizeable stretch in the working-capital cycle as a potential downside factor.
- 4
Capacity-utilisation risk. The company has made significant investments in expanded processing capacity; weaker-than-expected demand or lower utilisation could affect fixed-cost absorption and profitability.
