Official NAV vs Estimated NAV

Disclosed portfolio

Recent estimates vs official NAV

How Estimated NAV works

  1. We start from the fund's latest publicly disclosed portfolio — the holdings the fund house itself published for the month end.
  2. We track the market-price changes of those holdings from the official NAV date to the estimate date.
  3. Each holding counts by its disclosed weight; cash and equivalents are treated as unchanged.
  4. Corporate actions such as splits and bonus issues are handled conservatively, so they do not show up as false gains or losses.
  5. When the fund house has disclosed the plan's expense ratio, it is deducted pro rata for the days since the last official NAV; otherwise no expenses are deducted and the page says so.
  6. Where a holding cannot be priced reliably (unlisted, unsupported or missing data), it is left out and the coverage and quality shown with the estimate go down.
  7. The result is an estimate. The official NAV published by the fund house may differ.

Not sure what NAV is or when it applies to an order? In Learn: How NAV and cut-off times work.

Estimated NAV is an informational estimate based on publicly available portfolio disclosures and market data. It is not the official NAV published by the AMC and may differ from it, because holdings can change after they are disclosed and because of expenses, fund inflows and outflows, valuation adjustments or market data that was not available. Nothing on this page is investment advice.
